Minster Road 1
From January 1939 , this house on 1 Minster Road in London Cricklewood provided shelter for Jewish children from Nazi Germany. Cricklewood’s orthodox Jewish community and their Rabbi Dr L.I. Rabinowitz had made the house into a hostel for children and young people who had been rescued to England by a Kindertransport. Among the inhabitants were several children from Rhineland and Westphalia.
